There's a wealth of places to go nearby, some right on the doorstep, others a few minutes drive away and lot's in Carmarthenshire. Pembrokeshire and Swansea & Gower are both easily accessible and have fantastic places to visit too.

Walking There are a number of designated walks in the area and are mapped and listed in a Carmarthenshire walks leaflet. For more information you can contact Carmarthenshire Tourism Office. Cycling The Croft has easy access to the many cycle trails. Golf There are five fantastic golf clubs within 20 minutes of The Croft, all of which offer a pay as you play membership.
Boating The Ferryside based yacht club is active and accepts holiday membership. It has a slipway, changing, storage and bar facilities. Fishing The estuary is a Bass protection zone. Carmarthen Bay is well recognised as one of the most productive areas for summer sea fish species especially Sea Bass. Railway Teifi Valley Railway is nearby along with Gwilli Railway. Bird Watching Ferryside is at the centre of about ten square miles of tidal estuary and common marshland. The diversity of bird life can be viewed easily from the cliff roads or paths, although the more dedicated would probably hide in the marshes.
